Oh, and if I ready the *very same* msg via a mailinglist (like the 
mozilla.org newsgroup / mailinglist pairs), I have to use the exact 
opposite button, i.e. the one I would expect:
"Reply" to answer poster only,
"Reply All" (plus deleting original sender from recipients) to answer to 
the list/group.

This strongly suggests that there is something wrong. And it's not the 
mailinglist setup :).
