Open the mail client,and go to Edit / Mail/News Account Settings. In
here there is a section called Outgoing (SMTP) Server, and set this to
Never. That seemed to get me past some of the more recent issues .. but
that is just a guess. I have not filed a bug as a result of the fact I
am not sure that this is the issue ...
