Nobody is blaiming you (at least nobody here :-) ).
If you use new, cool technologies, you sometimes find out not so cool
things about them.
IMO better that way than 'optimizing for performance' from the beginning
and completely crippling the app and code design on the way.
I'm happy you are finally about to resolve this huge problem of Mailnews
(practically).
