Mail folders sharing

Hi,

is it possible with Mozilla to share mail folders between different
versions?

What I want to do: Use Mozilla on W32 and Linux, and use the same
directory structure for mails. I want to access my mails from both
Operation Systems.

With Netscape 4, this was half-possible - the ofmrt for the summary
files was different under Windows / Linux.  Will this be "fixed"?
