Text mailing list

Hi,
I have some text file mailing lists with one email address per line. Is 
there a way to use these from mozilla? I tried the import but it doesn't 
seem to recognize the format. The list has entries like...

"User Name" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

The import utility picks up the "User Name" part, but not the address. 
I'd really like to be able to mail to the list without the whole list 
showing up in the headers.
