I can speak for Beonex.

I don't want people to wander off to MSIE. But I don't want users here
on these developer mailing lists (or bugs, for that matter, apart from
voting) either. People asking for spell checkers and asking other
pointless and already-answered questions are disrupting development,
sucking valueable energy and time from the few individual developers we
do have and who can do something not in Netscape's agenda.

If they want to write a spell-checker, they will. Everybody is aware
that this feature is wanted - If you disagree, vote for the relevant bug
(but do not comment).

So, if you really really want a spell-checker, I know of 2 options you have:

    * Use Netscape 6, and put up with privacy and possible security
      problems.
    * Go to Beonex, ask us for a spell checker, handing us money to
implement it. If you can't affort several thousand dollars,
organzise with a few people and show that you can get together at
least a part of it by pooling money.

It is not OK to bug volunteers to do something for you they don't want
to do. It is bad for their fun and thus bad for Mozilla.

Personally, I find the FAQ funny.
