After running it for a day or two now, I've noticed that the 0.9.7
mail/news client is definitely buggier than the 0.9.6 one (on Win2k).

The biggest problem is that very often, I get no horizontal or vertical
scrollbar in the text viewer pane.

Actually, the more fundamental problem, as far as the lack of a horz
scrollbar, is that it isn't splitting up long lines. That is, long
lines remain long, rather than being split into multiple lines. As I
shrink the width of the window, no text reformatting takes place -- I
just lose ever-more text off the right.

The bug seems to be a function of the news server I'm downloading from.
The bug is always present with news from my ISP, but never present in
my email, or in news from news.mozilla.org.

So, that's a rather huge problem -- it makes it hard for me to read news
at all, since I haven't figured a way to scroll to the right (there
being no scrollbar -- right arrow does nothing).

Another problem, which has always been there, has become more prevalent,
and a fairly major annoyance. That is the "blinking" redraw bug. What
happens is that the subject-line pane (i.e. the top pane) goes crazy
redrawing, rapidly alternating between 2 widths of the subject column.
It always seems to do this about 10 or 11 times, then stops. It seems
to be more frequent with 0.9.7. At least the redrawing is faster, so
it's over more quickly...
