Yes, you can easily differentiate these 2 cases by trying to mark/select 
the symbol. If it is the Euro char, but there is just no Euro glyph in 
the fonts, the whole sequence "EUR" will be selected at once. Otherwise, 
you will be able to select "UR" without the "E".
