0.9.8 seems to crash a lot.  Since 0.9.6 I've seen lots of new (and very 
useful) features, but the reliability of the core stuff seems to be going

Indeed.

But the point remains, there are a lot of issues, and 1.0 is ever closer.

On the bright side, I have a friend who has just got an Internet 
connection.  Having installed Mozilla (0.9.6), he said it's by far his 
favourite browser.  It's nice that complete newbies are impressed IMHO.
