Media Market Group charges Lucasfilms with falsely claiming that the company markets its product to children. The suit is based on a statement made earlier this year by Lucasfilm spokeswoman Lynne Hale after the company failed to get a restraining order to stop the distribution of Starballz. Hale was quoted as saying, "The law does not allow for parody to be a defense to a pornographic use of someone else's intellectual property, especially when that use is directed to children." The council said the man, who was arrested while wearing only two strategically placed frisbees, could have been a dangerous distraction to drivers. "In such circumstances, the possibility of an accident would not be inconceivable," it said in its ruling. The mystified prosecutor says he's never seen anything like it, but the boy's attorney thinks the kid will have a better chance with a jury than with a juvenile court judge. Strangely, the first woman to come forward was arrested herself this week for supposedly selling crack to an undercover cop.
