Ok, no matter what the icons are as relates to the function, how do you
propose to educate millions of users as to what those icons represent?
Tooltips? Just rely on documentation or answering the 100's of posts in
the groups ??? I still think the BEST is a textual representation in the
column.

However, there is a bug filed on "tooltips" (missing) that should clear
up the mess. Users complain that valuable real-estate is taken up by
having to have too many columns. I can understand that. Tooltip
implementation should take care of that once fixed ....
