New is not needed since the entire message gets bolded. Replied and Forwarded could just be teh same icon as message with an arrow pointing left or right depending on if it was forwarded or replied, just like the icons on the toolbar. Many mail clients have thsi (Outlook and Mulberry to name a few). Mulberry even changes the color of the message if it has been replied which I really like but in Mozilla this would interfere with labels. Status takes up space. The icon is a much better approach esp since its always there! Pratik.
