I've looked at that. There may be some stuff there that could help me,
but I think they've got a different goal...

Point taken. I guess I was thinking about something that /could/ run
standalone, but would be based on mozilla. And then would integrate
with mozilla like any other telnet client might, by registering it as a
"helper app." The more I think about it though, the more I think it
should be a part of Mozilla.... but see below...

No, no.... I think you misunderstood me a little. Probably because I
didnt' make myself very clear. My bad... Let me see if I can rephrase it.

A telnet / terminal emulation client, that could do all the things I
would want it to do, would (likely) be so big, nobody would want it to
be part of Mozilla. I'm thinking about something that goes way beyond
what Mudzilla buys you, for example. I'd like to have support for as
many different terminals as possible, like not just VT100/VT102/VT220
etc, but also 3270, 5250, T27, etc. And I'd like to see ssh support,
client scripting ( although, we could probably get that kinda by
default, if this is built using XPCOM/XPConnect ), etc.

Now, it's entirely possible that I'm way off in my assesment. I just
thought that possibly doing all that would result in something so large
( even as a Moz component ) that it would never actually make it into
Mozilla. But, I think other parts of Mozilla can be selectively
downloaded and installed independently, so I guess this could be the
same way. Even if it's not part of the default distribution, it could
be an optional download.

Hey, I'm fairly new to this Mozilla stuff, so cut me some slack! <grin>

Hmmm. Good point. I've been looking for a good way to get involved
with Mozilla, and when I found this bug, it just kinda caught my fancy.
It's involves things I'm interested in, and would result in a tool
that I would probably use.... and it just sounds cool. :-)
