Very strange. The only thing that comes to mind that could affect this is the DDE.
I think I'll look at a putting a command line parameter in to disable DDE to see if
this is
causing the problem.
The other thing you could try is:
mozilla -newprofile
to avoid profile migration, and then try to start it.
also, are you running xcenter?
