Somehow the last build corrupted my local mail, moving the contents of the pop account to a new directory on the application drive, which was deleted along with everything else in order to unzip this build.
Opening mailnews the first time after a migrate continues to be a problem. Opening the mailnews task menu from the browser landed the mailnews window on top of SmartCentre (bug <http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=67913>), so I immediately grabbed it and moved it off where it should never be permitted to place itself. This initially pegged the activity meter, then left the desktop apparently lifeless. The clock & activity meter were stopped, though mouse pointer would move, and the mailnews window's status bar was corrupted. I hit Ctrl-Esc, and up popped not only the tasklist, but also the password dialog for retrieving mail. Now the desktop was back to normal. If first open of mailnews after migrate did not automatically try to fetch mail this fubar focus/lockup would not happen. Also, mailnews should not automatically expand all folders. I think part of the focus problem is Mozilla gets confused and/or overthreaded trying to establish connections with all six news servers at the same time it is trying to fetch the mail I didn't ask it to fetch. -- "All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."
