As far as I'm concerned it doesn't matter whether OS/2 or windoze or Linux or anything else. If the desktop has a toolbar on any edge of the screen which is set to always on top (which should mean it preempts that space under all circumstances), then it is a design defect somewhere that allows anything to obscure the object that is supposed to remain always on top. *No* object should be permitted to occupy space not available to a maximized window. -- "All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."
