Technical explanation and a hint of eating my words :) OK after fixing the same bug on Windows, I understand what is going on.
http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20965 Mozilla wants a rectangle that represents the desktop and it will confine its windows to that rectangle. On Windows you can query the desktop rectangle minus the taskbar. On OS/2, you can query the desktop height and width (even minus the warpcenter) but you do not know whether it is at the top or bottom, so you can't offset the rectangle. In addition, other taskbars (XCenter, Lotus SmartCenter) probably do not honor this OS/2 API (WinQueryDesktopWorkArea). Finally, this API does not exist at all in Warp3, so use of it might cause Warpzilla to not work on any version of Warp 3. I will do some investigation into how feasible this is. Mike Kaply IBM
