I don't think so, but can't tell. I think the eBay pages are trying to
include inaccessible image ads (as Dink describes) and not pop up new
windows to display them. When I go to
>http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?MfcISAPICommand=GetResult&SortProperty=MetaEndSort&pb=&ebaytag1=ebayreg&ht=1&query=satellite+receiver+band&ebaytag1code=0
with 2.02, which naturally has javacrash disabled, the page comes up
uneventfully and apparently complete. When I go to the same page with
Mozilla and javacrash for web pages enabled, I have to OK away "The
connection was refused when attempting to connect to ads.web.aol.com."
three times before I can do anything else with Mozilla. When I view the
source with E.EXE for the page loaded by 2.02, a search for
ads.web.aol.com produces no hits, but I get the same thing viewing the
page source with Mozilla's source viewer. When I leave the page in
Mozilla, turn off javacrash, then return, or go to another eBay search
results page, I don't get the error messages.Other than I hate the gross nuisance that is javacrash, I know
essentially nothing about it. I can't see anything in the page that is
triggering the calls to ads.web.aol.com. I still think
http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=28586 might be on point.
Anybody else?
