Ctrl-Shift-L will still work when you have this problem. For me, it showed up after
some nasty 0.9.8 Java crash - Java stopped working (I had to remove the plugin),
history stopped working (no purple links), and the URL line stopped accepting
Enter. The first thing I did was to delete the cache and history.dat, but that didn't
help anything. I haven't bothered to track down the problem, since I knew 0.9.9
was due out soon. If the problems are still there with 0.9.9, I'll know I need to
clear stuff out of my profile. ;)
I'm pretty sure the Java problem will still be there - some plugin.trace file
(something like that) got munged in the Java13 directory. I guess I'll have to
install Java over again (I should probably get a newer version anyway).
