Get away from this extension mapping. It is a bad ideal. OS/2 provides for storage of type data in the EA Type data, which every file can have one. If the information is missing, pop up a dialog and ask. Please don't waste your time re-inventing the wheel. So far I've not seen the need for this mapping. Mozilla pops up a dialog and ask me what to do with unknowns. The only thing that has stopped me from filling in the applications list IS this is beta that changes every few weeks. I just wish that the applications list had a predefined mine type list so that I could assign applications for those types not handled by Mozilla, as opposed to finding them one at a time when Mozilla ask me what to do. -- Bill <Have a Good April Fool's Day>
