|-> "Shift left" probably means MB2, so left-handed people like me should
|-> think "shift right" -- or even MB2. I do that on a URL in the URL
|-> window, and I see a small popup menu with options Undo, Cut, Copy,
|-> Paste,..., so that must not be what you mean. URLs where

Shift key and the left mouse button or right if you have them swapped.

I have no numbers on my buttons nor do I have any reference to what 1234
would be sorry if this is inconvienient to you

on a web page link which happened to be urls in my efforts to discribe what
I had done.

"for a bit in mozilla" means that the download manager has been the
standard behaviour for a bit or a while. If left in context it means that
if you have not changed something download manager is the element in
mozilla that is managing downloads. there has been a thread on both the
download manager and on how to make mozilla use the "saving location" thing
that it used to.

>From my seat mozilla is not appending or changing extensions so I see it as
people seeking solutions when there is no problem. I am not an adept but
my install is working properly and something in that may enable the
developers to figure out why mine works and yours does not.

Peace
