I was trying, in my ignorant way, to see if there was any visible dfference in the way downloads were handled that might account for the problem. again mine works so I have no complaints. maybe you could point to a server where the problem happens for you maybe it could be seen to be a server side issue with my choices of sites simply being ones that happened to handle things in a way Mozilla understood.
