and explains why I have not experienced the issue.  I got into the habit of
shift-clicking to dl files to prevent them from opening in an app or the 
browser because I was handling doc, txt and rtf files for a newsletter I 
never "just" clicked on a link to initiate a download.  Habit stuck with 
me.
