Thanks for clearing that up for me. I'd rather assumed that supporting
Unicode meant that all this was sorted, but obviously it's more complex
than that :-)

Do you have any idea how long the above <snipped> tasks are going to take
your team?

It would be nice to have a statement of the form "Mozilla 1.0 will be able
to display content in all the world's character sets except X and Y and be
localised into all languages except X, Y, and Z". What goals do the i18n
team have for Mozilla 1.0?
