Maybe there is a choice, i believe no window has a right to steal focus because it causes grand irritation on user. and i think there is a way to solve the problem 1- Dont allow any window to steal focus 2- if there is a notice message, like security, error or helper application, just blink the tool bar button down like Windows does. i believe it is possible with Linux and others.
