i have even three copies of some records.. but just to the fact that i
was thinking this too, there's definately too much difficulties getting
some of the stuff i have, unless i go to england and have
shiiiiiiiiiitloadsssss of money and time to waste searching those 12",
so i decided to start doing mp3's out of them, so i don't have to ruin
the vinyl at home. and since me being total asshole when it comes to
playing, i have very rarely gigs anymore - mean, deep house, dbx, afx,
fla, puppy, 242 and whatever in my sets nowadays - of course i might
drop britney spears track in between too, or mix it in afx track or
whatever.. so nobody wants me to play anymore in their parties.

yeah! compilation cd's usually have those radio edits and how are they
supposed to be mixed? even though talking about pop music, like
eurodisco/europop, how should these 2-3 min edits to be mixed. many of
those 'bands' never have longer versions of tracks even on cd-singles.
how can you mix it when it begins with some horrible singing, no break
from that and any other tune are the same. those have definately nothing
to do with _dance_ music.

vinyl press would be cool. you could actually get your tunes played in
parties...
