i'm not comparing it, but that was the only way i could describe the
stuff. it wasn't even near trance, musically. well, i actually like
disco music, when it's done by black people and has philadelphia written
all around but i was never into european disco. it just lacks the soul.
and groove. compare the grooves like "First choice feat. Rochelle
Fleming - Let no man put as under" to the stuff i-f played and you know
what i mean.

maybe yes, but imho 80's disco has little to do with electro. maybe it
was bastard child of electro but it lacks the innovation and spirit
totally. Check stuff like "Cybotron - Clear" and you see what i mean.
yeah, this tracks a bit cliche but it's good example of early electro,
and they were among the first to use that fancy roland tr-808. or check
the miami bass stuff. it was all about bass. and well, rapping in some
cases too.
imho, most of the madonna and michael jackson stuff is better than this
germanic disco i-f played.
