real player definitely has more problems than flash. rp8 doesn't save
the settings, and if you have firewall, you have to set these settings
everytime you use it.. boring.. anyway, i have given up on that crap and
decided not support it.
flash is quite easy to install, as i described couple of mails ago -
perhaps not so easy as in windows - one has to download and untar the
package, create a directory, and copy the files and restart the browser.
not that difficult.

i recently had some mail exchange with redhat since their up2date system
wasn't registering me changing some hardware. solution: i didn't have
that rhnsd (or whatever something like that) daemon running and giving
the info for them - which, of course, was not documented anywhere. and i
complained about this to them, but never received a reply.

i blame macromedia for coding supercrappy plugins for linux. and real
for coding even worse realplayer for linux.
