hi all,
        some other source people may want to look at can be found at
ftp://wopr.campus.luth.se/pub/mpeg_layer_3/

        Andreas Johansson has made his optimizations available, and the
pre2.0 version is out which includes some ISO improvements and a joint
stereo mode.  Might be worth peeking at to see if we're working on the
same things. (Is he on this list?)
