I can understand that fraunhofer doesn't like that the iso-code is rewritten and then is called 8hz-mp3, but as long as dist10 is available and free it must be ok to correct bugs in the example source code? And does anyone know if it's ok to distribute pre-compiled versions of dist10? AFAIK pre-compiled versions of dist10 are distributed for the Amiga in aminet? A dist11 would be nice.. with all the dist10-code and comments, with our own changes, optimizations and bug-fixes #ifdef:ed.. And if a dist11 is illlegal, what's stopping us from distributing the dist10 original source-code along with a patch-files? Just some thoughts... /Jan Peman (btw, I have included some links to ftp-sources for the dist10.tar.gz at http://geek.rcc.se/mp3encoder/ )
