Yes, I did mean that. I'm a dolt today. :)
Thats right. I also screwed up in a previous mail: My tests were done
with: save_bits[gr][1]=((1-fac)/(1+fac))*save_bits[gr][0]; and NOT
fac*save_bits as I seem to have said.
I still think that the 50% max reduction is too little in the face of a
mono source in a stereo file.
Perhaps I need to go take a nap so I can talk straight. :)
