I found some optimized code i did for layer 2 encoding (nov 98) and
it's up on my webpage under the "toolame" heading.
It's about twice as fast as the ISO code layer 2(which is also up
there) but I'm sure there's plenty of other stuff to do to it. It's not
realtime on my p166, but it's close.
There's still call for mp2 stuff - audio professionals are keen on it,
and there's plenty of hardware for it. So if anyone does anything groovy to
the source, send a patch to me.
