Hi all,
just an announcement that toolame is now based on the dist10/lsf code
(same as LAME) instead of the older mpegaudio.tar file.
The dist10 code already includes LSF whereas the older code didn't.
There are problems with the LSF code though. I get a segfault after
about 190 frames on a 22.05khz input file - no matter what mode i'm trying
j/s/d. If i turn the psy mode off (-f) then there are no segfaults, but at low
bitrates no psy model sounds pretty awful.
Not all the changes up to 01f are included in 02a.
The code is still pretty much straight from the dist10 code. There's
still quite a bit of LayerI & III stuff to purge - and still a lot of
optimization to do.
