Hi all
encoded both sweep.wav and 100only.wav using mp3enc 3.1 [demo will
do, works for first 30 seconds] and played back with Winamp 2.64
w/Nitrane decoder v 2.30. No artifacts to my ear! Why?
Points:
1] Sweep - 128KB, 44100 Mono
For Lame, one switch was used: -b 128
For mp3enc, no switches
2] 100only - 128KB, 44100 JStereo
No switches were used for this.
For mp3enc, Huffman search was ON for both files.
3] I tried enabling -h and -k. No differences.
Seems like both Nitrane and Lame have bugs here. To my ears it sounds
like the decoder is running out of breath. Laugh all you want, it's
an artistic observation ;-D
So, what gives?
