Only solutions I've seen:

1.   Third party software that creates it's own
version of cdplayer.ini, (not compatible).

2.   When it approaches 64k rename it and start
building another one.

3.   Switch to Win NT which does not seem to have this
restriction. (I haven't tried W2000 Pro yet).
