Am I the only one to really dislike that kind of "skinned" user
interfaces (though MMJB isn't the worst on that front)? I really prefer
something like CDEx (or Audiograbber/AudioCatalyst) - not only because
it allows me to use Lame...

personally I don't give a rip what most apps look like. I prefer console
apps tbph. heck, I don't even have x installed on most of my Linux boxes...
skinnability is nice, but only on an already proven app. skinnability does
not make anything more attractive to me. it's features that get me to use
programs. for the record at home I use cdparanoia, at work I use
audiograbber (nt box).
