does anyone know of decent yet cheap mp3 players or schematics, something under 50$, one ideia that ocurred to me would be to modify a standard cd-discman into a mp3 playing discman? does anyone know of projects like this? Does anyone here know if it would be to hard to replace or insert the extra electronics into a standard run of the mill cd discman? and keeping it cheap? anyone care to look into creating possible schematics for this kind of mod? I'm guessing it would be a feasible, since the mp3 already has the audio output components and I presume that the reading device can also be used to read raw from a data cd, and pipe it into a dsp capable of decoding mp3 as well as cd audio, better yet something that can use a software decoder so that vorbis support could be included. well can anyone please shed some light on the details required and feasability for this kind of mod? thank signed: someone who can't afford the fancy mp3 players but who loves music -- MP3 ENCODER mailing list archive is at: http://www.mail-archive.com/mp3encoder%40minnie.cs.adfa.edu.au/
