I was just trying to stream an MP3 file from the net with WinAmp v2.81 that had the extension .mp3, but with my MSIE v5.5, a window pops up that only lets me download the file. The option to open it from it's present location is greyed out. The Nullsoft website says that I should have the option to load it from its present location, and explains a few more steps on how to set up IE so WinAmp with stream .mp3 files directly.
Hmmm... maybe when files are compressed at 90-120kbps or above, IE may be detecting that I only have a 56K dialup connection and won't let me try streaming it. Anyone know much about this?
