Hi there,
I know this letter is a bit off-topic, but i think you guys can help me.

My school project is to design an embedded system that transfers
compressed audio over network. The device has an Intel Xscale PXA255
processor (ARM, 400 MHz), 64 MB SDRAM, and some flash. I installed a
base linux system, and some audio applications on it. My problem is that
this processor has no FPU...
I tried lame, but it's far from real-time. I know there are full integer
or integer optimized decoders (madplay, tremor), but are there any
encoders that may run real-time on my board?
And another question: is there a standard way to stream the data over
network?
Thanks in advance!
        Geroge
