Hi,
are you running the ./configure script using the --without-hdf5 switch?
If I disable hdf5, I get the same error.  Re-enabling hdf5 takes care of
the configure script and compile goes without a fault. I have no idea
what can be causing the libctl error though.

I am on linux x64 just so you know and my ENV varaibles can be found in
another of my post.
