Did you diddle the Makefile and remove the __KFIR_PACK__ option?  That
would cause it to stop looking in ./micro for microcode, so that it
exclusively looks in /lib/kfir.

Are you sure you're getting MPEG-1 video, and not simply MPEG-2 proper
video?  I have yet to get it to do anything but full-D1 MPEG-2.  The
board either ignores my request and uses the frame size/stream format
_it_ wants, or it produces really ugly video.  I don't know if this is
the board or the driver, since under Win98 with the VisionTech drivers
installed, I also get ugly video when I do something other than full D1
MPEG-2.
