Tom Foley is not an endorsed candidate of the Independence Party.
In fact, he's never so much as even asked for endorsement. He no more
represents our party than Sharon Anderson represented the Republicans
in her 1994 Attorney General race.
I should add that there is a loophole: candidates are allowed to accept
PAC money when there's no public campaign financing available, as with
congressional races. Most endorsed candidates (such as James Gibson)
pledge to refuse all PAC money anyway.
