What I find interesting is Foley opponent Pam Ellison is supporting
McCollum, and DFLer Hartnett (the least serious opponent to McCollum) is
supporting Foley.
Personally, I think the race that really counts for the Independence Party
is the Senate Race. Gibson is much more a different kind of candidate--and
a non-celebrity than "PacMan" Foley, who is really same old, same old.
However from the Strib report, Gibson is mostly self financing his
race--along with contributions from family members. He's got to get a
bigger base of funding.
Thanks, Catherine Shreves for the explanation of the Carver model. I'd
still be interested in hearing what the school board is doing regarding the
Boy Scouts. The Duluth United Way has decided to pull funding, the
Burnsville School board also has.
