Hello Ms Montgomery: In the St.Paul PiPress of Nov.7th,2000, it was reported that a Mpls. Police officer was arrested in Appleton, Wisc. after he allegedly tried to steal a car, fled when a group of people pulled him from the car, and was later apprehended by police while trying to break into a pickup truck with a credit card. An Appleton police spokesman, John DeLong, was qouted as saying: "Whatever he was drinking, smoking or ingesting seems to be the problem." At the end of the report in the newspaper the reporter writes, 'Montgomery said Minneapolis authorities are waiting for details of the Wisconsin incident before deciding if additional action is warranted.' Can you tell me: Has the MPD taken any action in this matter? Do you know if the officer in question has had his day in court in Appleton, and if so, what was the result or verdict in that case? Also, was the officer in question one of those involved in the incident in St. Paul when two men were shot outside Mickey's Diner this past December? Any answers you can provide will be helpful. Thank you. Tim Connolly Ward 7 __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Photos - Share your holiday photos online! http://photos.yahoo.com/
