I think the equal protection clause in the constitution should apply here.
If we are going to make some donors report their contributions, then all
donors should report their contributions. I also believe that a lot of
small donors from the same place can have just as much influence as one big
donor.
I know it may be some work to report this, but if Lisa has raised $26,000
and the mayor has raised $40,000, then they certainly have the ability to
spend a little on giving out the list of their donors. I think the
challenge is fair and I hope they will stand up to the task and shed light
on this situation.
