I just want to clarify that while I have a series of policy differences with
the mayor, I have not said that she is not active in the 8th Ward.
The statement I made was that during the Sayles Belton administrtion airport
noise has increased significantly in the 8th Ward. This is a policy
difference and one of a series of policy differences between us that I will
be talking about in the campaign.
As you point out in your post, she has some great personal assets that make
her very likable. I like her too. My decision to challenge her has to do
with the future of the city, not a personal view of her or me.
