I agree wholeheartedly with your sense that democrats who supported Nader in
the last election should be held accountable, given the harm they've done to
our party, the betrayal they've exacted on minorities and women, and the
derelict manner in which they've handled our collective future. This
sentiment appears to be resonating with minority caucuses, for obvious
reasons; I encourage the DFL Caucus and any of its subcaucuses to implement
strategies to find such candidates accountable. As Endorsement Director, I
worked hard to integrate this strategy into the Stonewall DFL screening
process. In hindsight, it may have served to erode the Caucus' credibility
more than it did to restore the integrity of the democratic party and agenda.
That notwithstanding, I stand by my position to hold Nader-supporting
democrats in the last election accountable in the coming races. It is for
that reason that I echo your sentiment resoundingly.
