Two important, newsworthy items:
#1: I have received two calls regarding the trees coming down at Minnehaha
Academy. The cutting will start Tuesday morning after the holiday. Any
tree huggers out there who want to do some signage and protesting?
#2: Earnie Belton of the Park Board District 2 has resigned from the Park
Board effective June 1 due to a new job that constrains him due to
potential conflicts of interest. So a vacancy...
There is a lot of jockying going on as to next steps and the appointment
process and the impact on the upcoming elections. Stay tuned. This one is
pretty dicey.
Who ever thought so much commotion could happen over at the Park Board -
quite an interesting election year for the Board.
Hope everyone is having a glorious, grayish weekend - we're supposed to see
the sun on Monday. I wonder what it looks like - it's been so long since
I've seen it.
