I understand that Peterson Hardware (no relation) on 38th and Bloomington is
closing up shop too, but I didn't see any mention of that in the Star
Tribune. Did I miss it?
I'm with Barbara, we use the True Value at Hi-Lake and Olson Hardward just
off of 42nd St S and 28th (if you haven't been here, it is a real find with
a service-oriented owner who just expanded within his own store.) And they
have the best paint matching in town. And I've tested them against a number
of stores including the biggies like Home Depot. And I bought my snow
thrower from a little hardware store on 34th Ave S and I think about 54th
next to the post office. I did price searching all over the city, and they
had the best prices on snow throwers by far. You can get savings if you
shop locally!
