Seems to me that the city tried to annex some inner ring suburbs way back when,
. . . I remember my parents discussing it when I was a youth (Richfield). They
were vehemently against it. Does anyone know -- or remember -- what happened?
My second question is, why is the opportunity "lost forever"? Not that we'd
WANT any of those suburbs today, with the possible exception of Bloomington &
Edina who have big malls and plenty of liquor licenses/municipal liquor stores
to balance their low property taxes.
Just curious.
